The Classic City Jazz

Classic City Jazz is a small vocal jazz ensemble selected by audition, which sings standards as well as new compositions and arrangements. The ensemble is sometimes joined by a instrumental combo comprised of bass, drums, piano and trumpet. Appearances on WUGA and at the GMEA conference in Savannah highlighted the 2003-2004 season.
Classic City Jazz's director, Dr. Mitos Andaya has a strong background in vocal jazz as a co-founded and later director of the nationally acclaimed and Down Beat award-winning female jazz quartet Sus4. Dr. Andaya has also performed with Carl Anderson, Sunny Wilkinson, and was a member of the Darius Brubeck Quintet.
